How to Throw a Galactic Star Wars Party

We celebrated the posh boy’s 5th Birthday with a Star Wars themed party. It’s no secret that my family LOVES Star Wars, so I went online to search for the perfect party. Thank goodness for Pinterest! It is here that I planned and executed his party in less than a week. First, I found the perfect way to display the party – Yard Candy.

Then, came the menu. I discovered Hello, My Sweet, where they provide invites, signs and food tags for you. You’ll have to figure out where to cut them yourself. I mounted them on black cardstock. The posh boy chose a Star Wars Cake with his Favorite TV Series, Star Wars Clone Wars.
On the menu were Thermal Detonators (Milk Duds), Bantha Milk (Milk with Blue Dye) & Qui-Gon Jinn Ger Snaps (Ginger Snaps).
Other treats were Endor Trail Mix (Pretzel Sticks, Craisins and Goldfish), Lightsabers (Pretzel Rods Coated in Red- & Green-Dyed Candy Melts), Hans Burgers, Palpatine Mini Pizzas and Wookiee Cookies (Click here for recipe.).

Next, I had to figure out what entertainment to provide for 5 year-olds of BOTH genders. This is hard because boys are sooo movement-focused while girls are more social. Let me introduce you to a mom’s best friend – the bounce house. 😉 I added a party favor of blow-up lightsabers for the kids to play with inside and outside of the bounce house. Here’s are some of the fun pictures.

As Yoda wisely stated: “Do or do not. There is no try.”
